Lost Inheritance by Lin Stepp

The Artist And Builder Of Our Lives

Lost Inheritance by Lin Stepp is the most delightful contemporary Christian romance which I absolutely loved.

The novel is set in small town America and has a wonderful warm feel to it that envelopes the reader. Life is not always perfect but people pull together with words of wisdom and offers of hospitality.

There are motifs for our lives of building houses and paintings. God is the master builder. The reader is reminded that unless we build our lives on the sure foundation of His word, our lives will be built on shifting sand. Likewise, God is the artist of all our lives. Sometimes we try to ‘fake it’, but God sees the original us.

All the characters are wonderfully drawn and exude warmth. They are realistic too, having less than perfect tempers.

Paris By The Book by Liam Callanan

The Story Follows You

Paris By The Book by Liam Callanan is a contemporary tale of love, loss and books. It is a comprehensive read that will consume.

The reader ‘travels’ to Paris from the comfort of the sofa. We ‘experience’ all the familiar locations and add some new ones too.

Paris By The Book is a book lovers paradise as we take a trip through many book locations. Some I had heard of but not others.

The book is a personal tale too. It is living through loss. It is surviving. It is being all things to ones daughters and keeping hope alive.

Written in the first person, the reader understands the highs and lows of the main character.

First Love Forever Romance Collection by Various

Delightful And Charming

First Love Forever Romance Collection is a delightful mix of nine stories set from 1858-1905. They are all unique and totally wonderful. They are united by themes of second chances, restoration, trust and the love of a Father whose timing is always perfect. A really charming collection. I could not pick a favourite as they were all delightful.

First Things First by Susanne Dietz is delightful. It is about second chances, the love of a family, trust and having correct priorities. “Choose to trust God rather than fight Him.” We need to surrender our lives to God and trust Him with our loved ones. “And you can handle it better than God can?” Do not pick up burdens you were never meant to carry. God needs to be first in our lives, everything will then slot into place. The story also shows we are not destined to repeat the sins of our parents and cannot be held responsible for them. A sweet and wise read.
