The Amish Christmas Gift by Laura V Hilton

Light Hearted And Amusing

The Amish Christmas Gift by Laura V Hilton is a charming light-hearted contemporary Amish novel that will put a smile on your face. It is the second book in the Hidden Springs series but can be read as a stand-alone.

In spite of the light-hearted tone, there are the serious themes of guilt and forgiveness. Sometimes we pick up burdens that were never meant for us. We, wrongly, believe that what we have done is unforgiveable. This is a lie from the enemy. God asks us to come to Him and to lay our burdens and our guilt down. He asks us to live in His love and His forgiveness.

The leading lady is very accident prone. This creates some highly amusing moments. There are also some delightful and funny verbal volleys.

Love and friendship are important qualities. It is wonderful to see them bud and blossom.

Love by The Numbers by Laura V Hilton

No Condemnation

Love By The Numbers by Laura V Hilton is a charming Amish romance. It is a light-hearted read but has themes grounded in God.

The reader is enthralled by the two leading characters who are delightful. Both are running from their pasts. “What if the future Gott has planned for you is hiding behind your worst failure… or greatest fear?” We need to face our pasts, failures and fears. Whatever we have done, the blood of Jesus covers it all.

Grace is available for all. “Why expect Gott to help her when she didn’t meet with His approval?” We need to stop projecting our thoughts and feelings onto God. He says we are loved and we need to believe it and live loved.

The Christmas Admirer by Laura V Hilton

Gott Will Provide

The Christmas Admirer by Laura V Hilton is the most delightful Amish romance. There is a wonderful warm atmosphere that envelopes the reader. With snow falling and delicious food cooking, the reader can really ‘feel’ at home.

The novel is about trusting God. At times life seems hard but we need to lift our eyes from our circumstances and look to God. “Determined to praise Gott in the midst of circumstances rather than focus on the negative.” We have a choice to choose to trust God.

Trusting God means we do not need to worry. “Worry ends where faith in Gott begins.” Whatever happens, God has got our back.

People have doubts. Doubt is not the opposite of faith. Doubt can actually help our faith to grow as we question and choose to trust God. Doubt can “stretch his [our] faith.”

Springs Of Love by Various

Feel Good Tales

Springs Of Love is a collection of three delightful tales that will warm the reader’s heart and make them feel good.

The Kissing Bridge by Laura V Hilton is a delightful start to this Amish trio. With themes of faith, trust and God’s plans, the reader is in for a real treat. “We are not saved by joining the Amish church… we’re saved by faith.” Buildings don’t save people, only God does that. Seeking Him first and listening for His voice are the best way to live life. There is the difficult topic of violence due to anger issues. The tale is covered by love – both human and divine. A wonderful read.
