Paralyzed by Alana Terry

An Adrenalin Rush

Paralyzed by Alana Terry is a contemporary Christian suspense that I got so enthralled with that I could not put it down! It continues where Unplanned left off.

Alana Terry explores what it means to be a Christian. Being a Christian does not guarantee a trouble free life but God does promise to never leave us. “She had gotten really consistent with her prayer and Bible study, which made her wonder why God hadn’t taken her problems away.” It is in the difficult times that we grow.

There are times when we feel isolated. “God why have you left me here to deal with this myself?” Just because we cannot see or feel God, does not mean He is not there, working on our behalf.

Behind The Scenes by Jen Turano

Challenging The Conventions

Behind The Scenes by Jen Turano is a delightfully amusing Christian historical romantic mystery and I really enjoyed it. It is the first book in the Apart From The crowd series and I cannot wait for the subsequent books.

Jen Turano’s books are always entertaining and amusing. Her heroine in Behind The Scenes is a very modern and unconventional lady for her time. She gets in to some amusing scrapes. With her attitude of “I do prefer using a pistol to my fists,” she is indeed an unusual woman in the nineteenth century.

In His Eyes by Stephenia H McGee

Perfect Love

In His Eyes by Stephenia H McGee is a delightful historical Christian romance which I really loved. Set in 1865 in the aftermath of the American Civil War, Stephenia McGee explores the complex relationships that arise.

War has left the nation reeling – homes gone, men dead, people displaced, a world in turmoil. “War made men do things they would never have thought to do.” Everyone is now trying to survive. Unlikely friendships develop as people help each other out.

God is present throughout the novel. He brings hope through His Word (the Bible). People can draw close to God by knowing His Word and knowing The Author.

A Spring Of Weddings by Toni Shiloh and Melissa Wardwell

Absolutely Charming

A Spring Of Weddings has two delightful stories one by Toni Shiloh and one by Melissa Wardwell. They have similar themes but both are unique and wonderful warm reads that will speak to your heart.

A Proxy Wedding by Toni Shiloh was the most delightful contemporary Christian romance. Such a sweet story with characters that warmed my heart.

God was very much a focus. He could be seen in nature. Toni Shiloh’s delightful descriptions gave me a ‘view’ of this landscape. Prayers to Him were very much a part of everyday life.
