Alaskan Dawn by Edie Claire

Selfless Love

Alaskan Dawn by Edie Claire is a delightful contemporary romance. Mainly set in Alaska, the breathtakingly beautiful area comes alive with Edie Claire’s detailed descriptions. There is no need for a passport as the reader can travel safely from the confines of an armchair and see orcha whales, grizzly bears etc. The reader becomes totally immersed in the area and begs that it remains unchanged.

With the themes of friendship and selfless love, the reader immediately warms to the characters. The topic of surrogacy was sensitively presented. Lead character Haley demonstrated unending love for both her sister and her mother as she took on the role of their rock and provider.

The Illusionist’s Apprentice by Kristy Cambron

Overcoming The Darkness

The Illusionist’s Apprentice by Kristy Cambron is a wonderful Christian historical novel. It is set in the early part of the twentieth century moving from Boston to London and back again. Kristy Cambron weaves a fabulous story that had me hooked from the start. Fact and fiction bump into each other within the book’s pages.

The novel is told over several different time periods as the action bounces backwards and forwards. The reader is teased bit by bit as more of Wren’s background is revealed.

The Little Breton Bistro by Nina George

A Journey Of Discovery

The Little Breton Bistro by Nina George is a beautiful story of love, of life, of death and of everything in between. It has an ethereal quality to it that just lodged in my soul leaving me feeling peaceful and tranquil.

The Little Breton Bistro is a novel of discovery. Too often we live to please others, suppressing ourselves along the way. We fail to live the life we should and fail to be who we were created to be. Life is for living, not merely existing. “He was mad enough to assume that one only had to survive to thrive.”

The whole novel is about love. We all have a basic need to love and to be loved. “I miss love, being loved… someone who’s my home.” Love fulfils us and makes us beautiful from the inside out. If we are loved, we cannot help but project that love from our faces.

The Vets At Hope Green part three by Sheila Norton

The Continuing Saga

The Vets At Hope Green part three by Sheila Norton continues the story and is so delightful. I am hanging on to every word.

Life in the country is idyllic compared with the hustle and bustle of London. The village has its own set of unique personalities. It all makes for delightful reading.

The setting and animals are a huge part of the story. I really ‘felt’ immersed in village life.

Part three ended with a cliff hanger. I am clinging on by my nails to hear what happens next.

So delightful.
