Alaskan Dawn by Edie Claire is a delightful contemporary romance. Mainly set in Alaska, the breathtakingly beautiful area comes alive with Edie Claire’s detailed descriptions. There is no need for a passport as the reader can travel safely from the confines of an armchair and see orcha whales, grizzly bears etc. The reader becomes totally immersed in the area and begs that it remains unchanged.
With the themes of friendship and selfless love, the reader immediately warms to the characters. The topic of surrogacy was sensitively presented. Lead character Haley demonstrated unending love for both her sister and her mother as she took on the role of their rock and provider.
I absolutely adored Alaskan Dawn. It was my first novel by Edie Claire but I want to read more by her. I am also looking forward to the continuing story in subsequent novels.
A wonderful story.
Alaskan Dawn is part of the Spring Rain collection which releases on 14th March 2017.
Spring Rain is a collection of three totally unique stories that are united by similar themes. They are all compulsive reads and each delightful in their different ways. I loved each story and can highly recommend Spring Rain to warm your heart and speak to your soul.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
