Night Watch by Susan Sleeman is an exciting Christian suspense. It is the fifth book in the Nighthawk Security series but can be read as a stand-alone.

The reader is involved in the action from the start as a break in throws doubt on whether a previous death was an accident. The team from Nighthawk Security are searching for persons unknown as they and the reader hunt for clues.

God is a faithful God. At times of heartache and uncertainty we need to fully rely on Him. “When the big twists and turns of life assaulted a person, only God could provide the support needed to make it through.” Life can be overwhelming at times but God is faithful.

Prayer is simply talking to God. “She lost herself in prayer, completely focusing on God.” It is only right that we should be fully present for God because He is fully present for us.

Exciting

Seconds To Live by Susan Sleeman is a fabulous contemporary Christian suspense that will grab the reader’s attention from the start. It is the first book in the Homeland Heroes series and I cannot wait for the rest.

The characters were well drawn, realistic and likable. They are not perfect but realistically flawed with character traits that are easy to empathise with.

Susan Sleeman has created a complex, well thought out plotline. Computer hacking combines with murder and intimidation. Multi agency law enforcements are needed. The reader is consumed from the first page.

There is the question of trust. The reader and characters must view some with suspicion but God can always be trusted. We need to “trust even when you don’t feel like it.” We cannot see the bigger picture but God can. He asks us to trust Him in the dark.
