Clang And The Party by Lorna Louise Gray

Entertaining And Amusing

Clang And The Party by Lorna Louise Gray is a perfect tale to read to young children or for early readers to access themselves.

Clang is a large dog owned by three rather eccentric women. We witness the action from his point of view. He never means to cause trouble but he’s a dog and trouble just follows him! It is highly amusing for young children as his doggy senses come into play.

One of the ladies is rather clumsy! Her clumsiness often causes mishaps. Young children will be amused as a falling over results in a flash of underwear – guaranteed to make children laugh.

The style is a very personable one. As you read, its more like you telling a tale rather than just reading a book. It makes children feel as if they are ‘walking’ through the story. Every now and then there is an aside which helps to make the reader feel included in the story.

Clang And The Party is a fun tale that is sure to entertain and amuse children. I hope there will be more adventures from Clang and his friends.

I received a free copy from the publishers. A favourable review was not required. All opinions are my own.
