Holly, Ivy And Intrigue by Various

Mysteries To Solve

Holly, Ivy And Intrigue is a wonderful collection of three tales, all with mysteries to solve. All three are unique but linked by similar themes. All are highly entertaining reads.

Christmas Murder Mix Up by Joanie Bruce is a light hearted mystery. The reader is left smiling as they hear one side of the conversation but unlike the character, we do not leap to wild conclusions.

There is a sinister side to the tale too.

With themes of trust, greed, friendship and love peppered with snow, the reader is in for a real treat.

When The Bishop Needs An Alibi by Vannetta Chapman

Anything But Plain And Simple

When The Bishop Needs An Alibi by Vannetta Chapman is a thrilling murder mystery that has the reader gripped from the start.

The novel shows that no matter how old we are, God’s not finished with us yet. Romance is not just for the young. Exciting times are not just for the young. It was refreshing to have main characters in their sixties proving that life is still for living no matter what your age. There are no retirement plans in the kingdom.

All the characters are wonderfully drawn, warm and welcoming. The Amish are an open community. All are welcome. There are some wonderful bonding scenes over food which really whets the reader’s appetite for more. Homes and hearts are opened to all. In times of difficulty, the Amish community comes together.

Out Of The Ordinary by Jen Turano

Extraordinary Escapades

Out Of The Ordinary by Jen Turano is a most delightful and fun Christian historical mystery romance. It is the second book in the Apart From The Crowd series but can be read as a stand-alone.

Out Of The Ordinary is a wonderful light hearted read that will have you laughing out loud at many of the antics. I think my favourite (of which there were many) is very reminiscent of a scene from The Vicar Of Dibley television series where the heroine meant to step in a puddle but disappears into a hole! It is a fun read that will brighten any day.

The characters are an eclectic mix and all wonderfully drawn – from the matriarch with light fingers to the heroine with a big heart and a protective nature.
