Shades Of Chocolate by Cecelia Dowdy

Let Go And Let God

chocolateShades of Chocolate by Cecelia Dowdy is a contemporary Christian romance. It is the second book in the Bakery Romance series but can be read as a stand-alone.

Shades Of Chocolate is an absolutely delightful read. I found myself immersed in its pages from the start. Cecelia Dowdy writes wonderful descriptive passages, I could almost ‘smell’ the goodies cooking.

There was everything a reader could want in Shades Of Chocolate… a hero, a heroine, a fabulous setting, a mystery and lots of chocolate goodies! I did not so much read the book as float through its pages.

God’s Not Dead II DVD

Wonderful

gods-not-deadGod’s Not Dead II is a wonderful faith filled film. It stars Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina The Teenage Witch) and the legendary Pat Boone.

Having read the book by Travis Thrasher, I knew the story and was keen to see the film. It was a faithful adaptation and a worthy sequel. For the viewer it was great to catch up with characters from the first film.

At first the film does appear farfetched with its persecution but the film is based on many court cases involving Christians who stood up for what they believed. “I would rather stand with God and be judged by the world, than stand with the world and be judged by God.”

A Love Transformed by Tracie Peterson

Worth Waiting For

transformedA Love Transformed by Tracie Peterson is the third book in the Sapphire Brides trilogy but it can be read as a stand-alone. The novel is a Christian historical romance set in 1917, just as America had entered World War I. It is a wonderful read and one that will take up residence in the reader’s heart.

The novel deals with espionage, murder and intrigue. It will have you guessing the outcome throughout.

Tracie Peterson always writes cracking stories with God at the heart. Her recipe for life is “Seeking God. Knowing God. Obeying God. Trusting God.” She shows how it is important to know not only God but His word. “Her only comfort had been her Bible.” At all times we need to seek God’s word.
