One Friday Afternoon by T K Chapin

As For Me And My House

FridayOne Friday Afternoon by T K Chapin is a contemporary Christian romance and the second book in the Diamond Lake series. It can be read as a stand-alone.

The main theme of the novel is our need to trust God and to have faith. We need to make God a priority in our lives. We do not serve a God only to be taken out on Sundays and then packed away for six days. We serve a God who wants to be a part of our whole lives. Trusting God is not like trusting man. God will never let you down.

The novel shows the danger that money and feeling comfortable can have on our relationship with God. “After Nathan began making more money in life, my prayers slowed and my reliance on God dwindles too.” No-one ever wakes up and decides to move away from God. “It’s a slow fade.” As our lives become more comfortable, our reliance on God may diminishes as we prefer to lean on ourselves and our money and possessions.

One Thursday Morning by T.K. Chapin

Hope And Fear

ThursdayOne Thursday Morning by T. K. Chapin is a contemporary Christian novel and the start of a new series. It’s clearly going to be a great series if book one is anything to go by.

I always love T. K. Chapin’s novels and like a fine wine, I think his writings just get better and better.

God is at the heart of the novel. Serenah cannot always hear Him. “I felt alone, like God had left me to die.” Sometimes we cannot see, hear or feel God but that does not mean He is not there, walking alongside us every step of the way. “That still, quiet voice inside told me to trust God.”

A Change Of Heart by T. K. Chapin

Learning To Trust Again

A change of heartA Change Of Heart by T K Chapin is a contemporary Christian romance. Once again he has written a wonderful story full of godly truth and advice.

There are many themes in the novel but one of the main ones is that of a feud that actually happened several hundred years ago. It is so long ago that no-one really knows why the Atkins and the Townsons refuse to speak to each other and dislike each other intensely. T K Chapin shows that this is not God’s way. God wants us to extend the hand of friendship. If this is not possible in our strength, then we must ask Him to help.

Linked in to the feud is the theme of prejudice. We sometimes are quick to judge others based on what we think we know about their relatives. This is wrong. We are never meant to judge anyone. We are meant to love them.

The Lost Truth by T K Chapin

Grounded In God

The Lost TruthThe Lost Truth by T K Chapin is a contemporary Christian novel and the first in a new series.

There are many themes but the main one is God’s love. God loves each and every one of us. Even when we mess up, God still loves us and His grace covers us.

Linked in to the theme of God’s love is the subject of fathers. God is our perfect heavenly father and He loves us unconditionally. Earthly fathers are not so perfect but within the book, the reader sees the lengths that Clay goes to to try to be a perfect father.
