I Stand Amazed: The World As I See It vol 3 by Kirby Lee Davis is a stunningly beautiful collection of poems and photos.

These poems celebrate our relationship with God. We see our need for Him every day; His faithfulness to us; grace and forgiveness.

As this book opens, there is a version of Isaiah 40.  This is followed by a poem based on John 3:16, declaring “For God loves, so He gives.” God gave His all for us. He gave us Jesus.

The poems My Everything, and My God Stands Ever At My Side speak of the faithfulness of God; and the presence of God. God is with us every single step as we journey through life.

Throughout the book, there are poems to help us through every stage of life.

In Why Go It Alone, a stanza repeats:

“Salvation’s knocking at your door,

Why go it alone?”

Powerful & Very Beautiful

Love Songs: The World As I See It Vol 2 by Kirby Lee Davis is a powerful and beautiful compilation of images and poems celebrating love in all its’ forms.

We see the love within a family; for a spouse; for children; and for God. There is even the love (tongue-in-cheek) for a doughnut – it does look particularly yummy in the photo!

Although there are original poems to God, there is also a slight variation of 1 Corinthians: 13.

All the poems fall into the categories of: Love & Family; Fantasies; Hardships; True Love. A wide variety of topics as you can see. There really is something to appeal to everyone.

Did I have a favourite poem? I actually had two! Wherever I Go which shows true love as a gift from God. And also, He Couldn’t Be Better about the birth of a son and the pain of letting go as he grows but knowing that God looks after him. This poem is beautiful and incredibly easy to empathise with as a parent.

There were some really fun poems too. A Tick-Yankin’ Woman was in the style of a limerick and incredibly funny. It had a rhythm as I read it.

Wondrous Grace: The World As I See It vol 1 By Kirby Lee Davis is a simply beautiful book of poems and images that will sink into your heart and soul.

The words penned by the author, over the years, also resonate with the reader as we realise life is nothing without God.

“But it’s in Christ I stand,

Clinging always to His hand.”

The hand and heart of God guide us through life.

We see our need for God in:

“Just give me the strength, Lord…

For I know I’ll never make it through this without You.”

As we journey through life, we do not journey alone.
