Flicker’s Garden Rescue by Jodie Parachini is a beautiful book for the under fives.
We see the importance of working together to help those in need. If we all function as one, we can get the job done.
There is no room for a selfish attitude. We witness the bugs working together as everyone will benefit from the fruits of pollination.
All the pages are beautifully illustrated by Bryony Clarkson. The bugs all come to life through the words and pictures. They all have unique personalities. Their big appealing eyes and friendly smiles make them attractive to small children. Each page is packed full of detail and makes a perfect starting point for discussions with our children.
Flicker’s Garden Rescue is simply beautiful and would be a welcome addition to any child’s first library.
I received a free copy from Rachel’s Random Resources for a blog tour. A favourable review was not required. All opinions are my own.
Flicker’s Garden Rescue
Aitchoo! Queen Bee has the sneezies and is having trouble organizing this year’s pollination. Without pollen, the plants won’t be able to make the seeds and fruits for the annual Garden Party. Luckily, Flicker and her friends are on hand to save the day.
