Jesus About Exigency Of Loving Yourself by Mike McArthur

Love Because He First Loved Us

Jesus About Exigency Of Loving Yourself by Mike McArthur is a nonfiction book about learning to love yourself.

Once we love and accept ourselves, then we can love others. Once we know that we are God’s and we are loved by Him, everything changes. When we know God, we know love because God is love.

The Secret Agent by Elisabeth Hobbes

Danger Lurking

The Secret Agent by Elisabeth Hobbes is a marvellous historical novel that will have you gripped from the start.

The novel is set mainly in occupied France during 1944 as we follow the exploits of the resistance and S.O.E as they operate under the nose of the Nazis. They are brave and daring as they plan and carry out acts of sabotage.

Not all Germans were Nazis. The reader witnesses flashes of humanity behind the uniform. We must remember that on every side soldiers had families who would mourn their passing. In contrast to this we view cruel attitudes towards others as evil reigns within.

The brave men and women of the resistance had to be adaptable and think on their feet as not everything went according to plan.

A Holiday Heart by Denise Weimer

A Life Lived Well

A Holiday Heart by Denise Weimer is a perfectly delightful contemporary Christian tale that will warm your heart. It is part of the Georgia Peaches series but can be read as a stand-alone.

The novel concerns the legacy that we leave. A legacy is so much more than material goods. We see a grandmother’s legacy of love as she left behind memories, life lessons and final wishes. The love radiates outwards encompassing the reader. The grandmother is deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched. She lives on through them.

The action is set within the countryside in log cabins in the lead up to Christmas. It is here that a character comes alive, realising her potential and the plan that God has for her life.

Life may have been hard in the past and a character turned their back on God blaming Him for the losses in life. But God never gave up pursuing a heart that was once His. A grandmother’s legacy is to open a heart to see the goodness of God.
