The Summer Villa by Melissa Hill

Lives Entwined

The Summer Villa by Melissa Hill is a most delightful contemporary novel that will have your pulse racing as you read towards the conclusion, anticipating what is to come.

The novel has two time periods – ‘then’ (five years earlier) and ‘now.’ The action alternates between the two.

Three strangers meet at crossroads in their lives – all have needs to be met and their own destinies to fulfil. Their lives entwine down the years.

The Bridge To Belle Island by Julie Klassen

Quintessentially English

The Bridge To Belle Island by Julie Klassen is a fabulous Christian historical crime novel that I just could not put down.

The action is set in the early nineteenth century in London and on the fictional Belle Island near Maidenhead. The air in the capitol is polluted in both physical and spiritual terms and is in sharp contrast with the fresher air and sunny personalities on Belle Island. Don’t Embarrass The Bureau

Revenge Of The Elders Of Zion by Dan Sofer is a contemporary suspense thriller that will keep you on your toes as you read.

The action is fast paced and the plotline complex with twists and turns that I did not spot coming. I did find it hard to keep up with at times but I clung on for the ride.

There are agents and double agents, disguises and inter agency battles, as secret societies plot the downfall of others.

The novel concerns the age old question of anti-Semitism, as heroes of the tale seek to right the wrongs of the past.

The Secrets Of Sunshine by Phaedra Patrick

Love Letters

The Secrets Of Sunshine by Phaedra Patrick is the most delightful contemporary novel that will warm your heart and soul, making you feel good about life.

Phaedra Patrick always creates such wonderful storylines and characters. It’s just like sinking down into your favourite chair.

The novel is a celebration of love. There are those who have loved and lost, and life is painful at times but life is for living. “You try to function as normal, then you feel guilty when you have good times.” Survivor’s guilt weighs heavy but we should not feel guilty for living again.
