Second Chances
None So Blind by Chautona Havig is a delightful Christian novel. It is the first in the sight Unseen series and I cannot wait for the rest. None So Blind is a cleverly constructed novel about an awakening and second chances.
The novel has God at the centre. Characters pray and turn to Him. The local pastor helps to instruct in a godly way and provide answers to questions.
There is the theme of trust – both human and divine. “Remember you can choose to trust in His faithfulness.” Trust is a choice. We can give in to fears or we can trust God. We need to trust others too as we were never meant to live in isolation.
The novel is about identity. We all need to know who we are. A name change signifies a change in character. Most importantly we need to know whose we are. If we forget everything else, we must not forget that we are a child of God.
It is important to grow and expand our knowledge. We are never too old to learn new things.
As with everything, relationships need time, care and attention to grow. Likewise we need to invest into our relationship with God by spending time with Him and studying His word.
Family and love are important. Families need to love each other and grow relationships.
None So Blind was a fun read and a different read. The plotline was unique and cleverly constructed. I cannot wait for book two. I love all Chautona Havig’s writings.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
