One Wednesday Dinner by T.K.Chapin

A Greater Love

One Wednesday Dinner by T.K.Chapin is a contemporary Christian novel. It is the seventh book in the Diamond Lake series and I really enjoyed it.

As with all T.K.Chapin’s books, this one is grounded in God. Trust and faith in God permeate the novel. Sometimes life throws curve balls at us but we need to trust God who knows the end of the story. “Life is full of surprises… but God is never surprised.”

One Wednesday Dinner shows the importance of knowing God to ensure our eternal destination. “Church attendance doesn’t save you.” It will not get you any closer to Heaven. Only a relationship and belief in Jesus will save people.

The novel has the theme of grace. “I don’t deserve Heaven.” No-one deserves Heaven. Only One and His name is Jesus. We receive the free gift of grace because of what Jesus did and not through any effort on our part.

There is the theme of judging. None of us are to judge another. We are all sinners in need of a Saviour.

Fathers and sons is another theme. The unbreakable bond and love of a father is shown. The reader is reminded that no matter how much we love our children, God’s love for us is greater still.

I have really enjoyed this Diamond Lake series and One Wednesday Dinner was a cracking end to the series.

I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
