Fascinating Family Memoir

Appalachian Roots Revisited by Nina Stacy Thomas is a fascinating account of the author’s life and family.

The reader becomes acquainted with the author’s family and friends. Due to the inclusion of many photos we can put faces to names enabling the reader to draw closer to those mentioned.

I love the inclusion of recipes from Nina Stacy Thomas’ grandmother, a warm and hospitable Southern woman.

The author and I share the same birthday so I felt an affinity with her. The style is very personable enabling the reader to easily relate to Nina Stacy Thomas.

I really enjoyed Appalachian Roots Revisited. It was a perfect read as we were introduced to family and friends, took road trips and heard about Nina Stacy Thomas’ beloved son and grandson. It was a lovely read for a gloomy winter’s afternoon.
