Fifteen Postcards by Kirsten McKenzie

Unique And Intriguing

Fifteen Postcards by Kirsten McKenzie is a fascinating time-slip novel with action in the nineteenth century and present day. The reader is in for a real treat as we travel from modern London back in time to exotic locations including India and New Zealand. It is the first book in The Old Curiosity Shop series which promises to be fabulous.

The plotline is unique drawing the reader in from the start. We have artefacts to follow and mysteries to solve as we time hop.

All the action hangs on treasures. These treasures link the ages and the characters and are powerful motivators. Where your heart is there is your treasure. Not all characters are driven by the pursuit of riches.

All the characters were well drawn. The leading lady is realistic and likable. She is driven by a search to find her parents. The villains of the piece are positively dastardly, very well drawn as they elicit feelings of dislike from the reader.

Fifteen Postcards is an intriguing start to a new series. I look forward to reading subsequent books.
