The Emerald Cave by James McPike

Buckle Up

The Emerald Cave by James McPike is a fast paced contemporary mystery thriller that is impossible to put down.

Comprehensive descriptions enable the reader to ‘see’ the actions as we travel from Jerusalem to France to Antarctica to Switzerland. Fiction blends with fact to produce a fabulous modern thriller.

The reader is in for the ride of a lifetime as the action hots up whilst searching for the Holy Grail. It was very reminiscent of Raiders Of The Lost Ark.

The world is full of bad people. “Terrorists come in all shapes and sizes.” We cannot tell the state of a person’s soul just by looking at them. We need to learn who we can trust. “When the going got tough, he knew he could count on her.”

With ancient artefacts, arms dealers, Hezbollah and double dealings, the reader experiences a thrilling action ride. Add to that ancient tales of Nazi misdemeanours and legends, and there really is something for everyone.

The Emerald Cave would make a marvellous movie and I would cast Daniel Craig in the leading role.

A fantastic, compulsive good old fashioned adventure. Buckle up for a fast paced read.

I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
