Tormented Love by Juliette Duncan is the third book in the True Love series. It can be bought alone or as part of the box set. This True Love series is a smashing set of contemporary Christian titles.

Sometimes the world around us just crashes in and the only firm thing is God. We need to build the foundation of our lives on Him and make sure He is our anchor through all the storms of life.

Prayer is important. When life is good – pray. When life is falling apart – pray. Pray at all times. Keep communicating with God. “She’d even started to wonder if God was listening to her prayers.” God always hears our prayers. His presence never depends on our feelings. He has promised to never leave us.

The major theme is that of the prodigal son. We may walk away from God but He will be forever waiting for us to return home.

The novel also deals with the topic of missions. Missions to developing countries only serve to highlight the gap between the rich and the poor. The people in developing countries are rich in their faith and contrast sharply with the spiritual poverty in the west, where the desire for more stuff overtakes our need for God.

I am really enjoying this True Love series. Each book is even better than the last. On to book four and the conclusion now for me.
