A Fun Read
Rescued Hearts by Hope Toler Dougherty is a Christian romantic suspense which I really enjoyed.
The novel had a fun, witty element which contrasted with the menacing air of suspense. It was a light hearted read that will brighten any Autumn afternoon.
Characters were well drawn and welcoming. There were some wonderfully amusing moments where characters bounced off each other. I loved Grandma Gigi, described as looking like Audrey Hepburn – elegance combined with gun ownership.
There were many themes including that of trust. Trust does not always come easy. Sometimes our jobs teach us to be suspicious. At other times it is life. Sooner or later we do need to place our trust in someone. We can always trust God.
