In The Blink Of An Eye by Mary Jane Gonzales

Inspiring

blinkIn The Blink Of An Eye by Mary Jane Gonzales is a short but inspirational book about living with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome (RSDS). For those without the condition, the book educates. For those with the condition the book shows you are not alone.

Mary Jane Gonzales is remarkably cheerful inspite of great pain and being housebound. There is so much she cannot do but says “I’m very grateful for the things I can do.”

Like many living with disability, Mary Jane Gonzales is reliant on others. She is sustained by those who love her. “I will never forget the kindness of friends and family.”

In her book, Mary Jane Gonzales talks about her faith in God. “Though He has not healed me, He has truly sustained me.” She knows that her disability does not mean she is loved any less by God.

Mary Jane Gonzales is unable to work but has discovered a talent for making cards and writing poetry. There is a beautiful poem at the close of the book.

A hugely inspiring read for us all.

I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
