The book is perfect to read to young children or for early readers to read themselves.

The message will also help children to know they are not alone with their feelings; we all feel that way. With love and encouragement, they too can bloom.

The style of writing has a friendly feel to it as the caterpillar is encouraged to live life to the full.

I thought the illustrations by Polina Poluektova were beautiful. Each page has so much detail to back up the words and is a good starting point for discussions.

The caterpillar and his woodland friends will appeal to young children, as they all have big eyes to draw you in.

The Caterpillar And The Butterfly is the perfect addition to any child’s book collection. I think a copy should be in every early years classroom too.
